“I decided to contact the Skin Surgery Clinic because I was having problems socialising with the condition I had. Each time anyone asked if I had been in the sun, or was it an allergy, it was upsetting explaining. I had a procedure done by the NHS, but they only treated a small part of the problem. On the day of consultation with Mr David Watt, I was put at ease that something could be done. All the effects the treatment could cause, post-op care and the time for healing were explained, but I never believed that my condition as a whole could be done in one session and after a family holiday a date was set for the procedure.
Day of procedure, I was more excited about what results I had to look forward to than being worried about the procedure I was to be having done. Nothing hurt me, injections or the laser treatment, and it all only took an hour. I saw my nose before the dressing was put on, not nice but not too horrific either. It was funny trying to drink straight after it, definitely need straws on post-op day, till the numbing wore off.
Ten days post procedure: Amazingly, after this period of time, I was well on the way to fully healing. I kept up the regime of cleaning with the medical-grade water and applying the ointment which was supplied, along with medical wipes. The fact that I went out to a supermarket (wearing a cap) early morning that day tells you how good the healing and recovery was.
I cannot thank Mr Watt and the team at Skin Surgery Clinic enough. I can now socialise again. I would recommend anyone to not suffer and get a consultation as soon as possible. I will not hesitate to get it re-done if the condition was to return.”
