Background
Dr Parsons is a highly experienced GP with specialist expertise in Dermatology.
He graduated from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with MBBS degree in 1995. Dr Parsons completed his post-graduate GP training in Airedale and has worked as a GP in Keighley since 2000 and is a partner within the Modality Partnership (Airedale Wharfedale Craven division).
Dr Parsons was instrumental in the creation of Modality AWC, serving as its inaugural Executive Partner from 2017-2020 and later received the Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRCGP) in recognition of his work within Primary Care across AWC.
Keen to pursue an interest in Dermatology, Dr Parsons completed the Post-Graduate Diploma in “Practical Dermatology” from the University of Cardiff in 2007, supplementing it with completion of Cardiff University’s “Introduction to Dermoscopy” course in 2015. He has worked as a GPwSI in Dermatology since 2015 providing NHS Dermatology across Bradford District and Craven and Tele-dermatology to the Modality Partnership divisions in Birmingham and Hull. In addition, he has provided supervision and mentorship to several GPwSIs working in Bradford District and Craven currently.
Specialism
Dr Parsons is an accredited GP with a Specialist Interest in Dermatology.
At Skin Surgery Clinic he carries out individual mole checks and whole-body mole mapping for skin cancer detection alongside private dermatology consultations.
