In this trigger finger release surgery video, Mr Bains carries out a procedure in one of our Minor Operations Suites.
The wrist is opened in order to access the tendon that is not able to glide smoothly within its sheath. Mr Bains carefully relieves the tension on the tendon so that the finger can regain its range of movement.
Our patient, Debra, later sent us this testimonial:
"Excellent from start to finish! It was that good I came back to have my other hand operated on.
I can now use a pen, wring out cloths, hold a dog lead properly and lots of other dexterity jobs which before my surgery I found very difficult and at sometimes couldn’t do at all. The surgery itself was fine and the tourniquet was not as bad as I was led to believe, more uncomfortable than painful. My recovery was quick and only took pain relief on the first night and now I have full movements on all 3 fingers that were operated on."
