After considering surgery for 20 years, our patient chose upper blepharoplasty and a brow lift with Mr Will Breakey after noticing his eyelids were affecting his peripheral vision and driving. Reassured by his surgeon, he reported no pain or discomfort, even on the first night, and is delighted with his results.

“I had wanted the operation done for maybe 20 years. My Doctor put me forward for the procedure on the NHS but they refused, no reason given. So when I retired I thought I might as well get it done as my eyelids were getting really bad. It wasn’t for vanity, I noticed my peripheral vision was not good, and it affected my driving.

My hopes were,

1. That it would be a success

2. That it wouldn’t leave me sore for days on end

3. That I wouldn’t have too much bruising, as I bruise and bleed very easily.
