Acne Treatment in Leeds

Acne is a condition that affects large numbers of youths and adults. Sometimes, after trying basic self-help techniques, patients need to be seen by a Dermatologist (specialist skin doctor).

Acne often has significant effects on a person's quality of life. As well as the physical symptoms it can also affect confidence and self esteem. Sadly, NHS limitations mean that patients may not be able to access a specialist readily.

At Skin Surgery Clinic you can be seen by a Consultant Dermatologist with no waiting list.

Acne Treatment in Leeds and Bradford - Private Dermatology

What is included in an acne dermatology consultation?

You will meet one of our highly experienced Consultant Dermatologists. Our Dermatologists have treated thousands of patients for acne and will quickly be able to diagnose your condition and any other factors affecting your skin. All of our Dermatologists are senior Consultants working within the NHS alongside their work at our clinic.

Your Dermatologist may recommend or prescribe treatments and medications. These typically take some time to have an effect on your acne, and so you may need a review appointment with the Dermatologist in order for them to recommend further steps.

We will also keep your GP updated on any diagnosis and treatment you have had.

Do you prescribe Isotretinoin / Roaccutane?

Isotretinoin, also known by the brand name Roaccutane, is a treatment for severe acne.

Yes, Dr Pikun Gangwani can prescribe Isotretinoin at our clinic.

Our Dermatologists can diagnose your condition and also offer other treatments that would be appropriate before considering Isotretinoin.

Once your treatment with us has finished, your Dermatologist may refer you back to the NHS with a completed diagnosis.
