Background
Miss Kerby is a female Consultant Plastic Surgeon based in Newcastle and specialises in paediatric plastic surgery and cleft surgery.
She went to Medical School in Nottingham and graduated in 2009. Since then she has trained in plastic surgery units around the UK including Cambridge, Norwich and Oxford. She completed her subspeciality training in Plastic Surgery and advanced fellowship training in the North East. She has a keen interest in humanitarian surgery having worked in East Africa and performing collaborative cleft surgery abroad including in the Philippines.
She took up her Consultant post in 2023 and is the Clinical Governance Lead (responsible for ensuring patient safety) in the Plastic Surgery Department in the Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust.

Miss Kerby is a fully UK trained plastic surgeon and specialises in cleft lip and palate and paediatric plastic surgery. She looks after children and adults affected by Cleft across all age groups. Other areas of specialism include, but are not limited to skin cancers, removal of lumps and bumps, paediatric skin lesions and facial reconstruction, laser treatment, and vascular malformations.
At Skin Surgery Clinic Newcastle, Miss Kerby offers excision of lesions including skin cancer, cysts, moles, lipomas, laser treatment of lesions and moles, as well as prominent ear correction, earlobe reconstruction and upper eyelid blepharoplasty (upper eyelid surgery).
She really enjoys operating under local anaesthetic and being able to make the patients feel comfortable and at ease.
